This program was made possible in part by a grant from the Illinois Humanities Council, the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Illinois General Assembly.

The objective of this conference was to present artistic, cultural and literary variations of Ramayana as it is found throughout the world. From September 21-22, there were paper presentations by international scholars. On September 23, a Ramayana Fair focusing on the art and dance forms of Ramayana was held.
